I absolutely loved the hotel's decoration, which beautifully blends traditional charm with modern comforts. the common areas are spacious and easy to navigate, making it welcoming for seniors like myself. the kindness of the staff, or as I like to call them, the children working there, truly made my stay memorable.
It would be lovely to have more vegetarian meal options.

Perfect Combination of Comfort and Nature
During my stay at Nikko Senhime Monogatari, I was captivated by the seamless blend of luxury and natural beauty. From the moment I entered the stunning lobby with its breathtaking mountain views, I knew I was in for a special treat. The spacious room, adorned with beautiful flowers, provided a sense of tranquility and a stunning vista of the river and mountain. The traditional Japanese bath was a true oasis, and the exclusive feel created by the small number of visitors made it even more special.

This traditional Japanese inn offers a personalized experience with a high level of service and hospitality. Guests can enjoy a private onsen, plush Japanese, style rooms with ikebana décor and breathtaking mountain views. the customizable 8, 10 course dinners made with local specialties such as yuba and mountain potatoes are formal and of the highest quality. Breakfasts are Japanese or Western, style and the staff's accommodating and respectful service is unforgettable.
Guests may find the cost of stay at the inn to be on the higher end of accommodation options.

Convenient location, next to top tourist attraction and easy access to transportation. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was friendly.
The room was small and outdated with uncomfortable bedding. The bathroom had mold and smelled musty.
